Ethel Miller

Ethel Muelder Miller, 87, of Rushville, formerly of Industry died at 11:37 a.m. Feb. 27, 2008, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Mascoutah, a daughter of Richard Herman and Esther Huck Muelder. She married Charles Fowler Miller on May 28, 1944, in Milford. He died Jan. 20, 2003.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Wallace and Wesley Muelder; two sisters, Luella Morton and Doris Taylor; and one nephew, Todd Muelder.

Surviving are one son, Scott C. (and Cindy) Miller of Cedar Falls, Iowa; one daughter, Ann E. (and Stanley K.) Rolf; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She graduated from Industry High School in 1938 and from Western Illinois University in 1942 with a bachelors degree in education.

She was a member of Industry United Methodist Church, the Women’s Club and Home Extension.

She was a homemaker. For eight years, she taught English and was the librarian at Industry High School.

Services were held Saturday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. John Sowers officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Industry Cemetery.
