Terry "Maynard" LevertonTerry A. “Maynard” Leverton, 57, of Rushville died at 11:45 p.m. Sept. 29, 2017, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 29, 1960, in Monmouth, a son of Charles H. and Rose Anna Taylor Leverton. He married Lori Taylor on April 7, 1984, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Terry Joe Leverton and Samuel Ray Leverton, both of Rushville; one daughter, Anna (and Bobby) Pilger of Astoria; one brother, Russell (and Susan) Leverton, two sisters, Jessie (and Mike) Gustafson of Rushville and Barbara Gustafson of Beardstown; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel, Charles and David Leverton; and one sister, Marilyn Bean.

He graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1979. He was a Navy veteran serving from 1979-82. He was a carpenter working out of Union Local #270 until his retirement in 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. Craig Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Neck Cemetery with military honors by Schuyler American Legion Post #4 and a Navy Honors Detail. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
