He was born March 25, 1957, in Rushville, the son of Wayne E. Lam and June Louise Anders. He married Jacqueline Jean Simons on June 2, 1984, in Hampton, Iowa. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Cody Lam of Monmouth; one daughter, Allison (and Nick) Janusz of Chicago; his mother, June Lam of Smithshire; two sisters, Sherrie (and Randy) Gray of St. Charles, Iowa, and Julie (and Chuck) McLaughlin of Smithshire.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He was reared and educated in Smithshire and graduated from Southern High School in 1975.
He started working at Twomey Company in Smithshire in 1975 and worked there till present.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview United Methodist Church in Monmouth with Reverend Gabe Wank officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of arrangements.
