RALPH “JACK” LAUDERBACK

Ralph Lauderback

Ralph (Jack) Lauderback, 83, of Pekin, died Dec. 13, 2008, at 5:20 p.m. at his home.

He was born Feb. 16, 1925, in Bluff City, a son of Jacob and Alta (Lau) Lauderback. He married Mary Sereno on July 31, 1948, in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Lee (and Pam) Lauderback of Ft. Collins, Co.; one daughter, Lynn Lauderback of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; one sister, Harriett Jean Lawson of Springfield, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his foster parents, George and Hannah Meyer; and two brothers, Robert and Russell Lauderback.

He was a member of Pekin Elks Lodge 1271.

He worked as a home builder. He had his private flying license and loved flying. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing cards.

Services were held at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home in Pekin with Rev. Brian Kellington officiating. Cremation was accorded following the service. Preston-Hanley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
