Norma I. Lasswell, 78, of Smithfield died at 1:09 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Bernadotte Township, the daughter of Raymond and Mary Artha Brown Lafary. She married George L. Lasswell on Jan. 11, 1947, in Ipava. He died Aug. 11, 2004.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and one grandchild.
Surviving are five sons, George (and Zelda) of Smithfield, Norman (and Marcia) of Havana, Cecil, Dennis and Daniel of Smithfield; one brother, Richard (and Charlotte) Lafary of Smithfield; one sister, Connie (and John) Potter of Elmwood; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandsons; and one step-great-great-grandson.
She was a homemaker.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba, with Rev. David Lafary and Rev. Layton Malone officiating. Burial will be in Baughman Cemetery in rural Smithfield.
Memorials may be made to the Cass-Putman Rescue Squad, Spoon River Hospice of Graham Hospital or Smithfield Church of the Nazarene.
