Charles Lebkuecher

Charles E. "Chuck" Lebkuecher, 45, of Edwardsville, formerly of Beardstown, died at 2:09 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2004, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in St. Charles, Mo.

He was born April 28, 1959, in Beardstown, a son of Charles F. and Alice Hays Lebkuecher. He married Joan Bardelmeier on Oct. 21, 2000. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Beardstown; one stepson, Connor Hannon of Glen Carbon; one stepdaughter, Julia Hannon of Glen Carbon; one brother, John Long of Jacksonville; and one sister, Carolyn (and Garth) Cripe of Astoria.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

He worked as a commercial claim examiner for American Family Insurance. He had worked at Horitca in commercial property claim adjusting for 14 years.

Services are today at 10:30 a.m. at Weber Hurd Funeral Home in Edwardsville. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Glen Carbon. A memorial service will be held in Beardstown at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Metro East Humane Society or the Edwardsville YMCA Capital Campaign.

Charles E. "Chuck" Lebkuecher, 45, of Glen Carbon, formerly of Beardstown, died Friday, July 30, 2004, in St. Charles, Mo.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beardstown with Rev. David Natzke officiating. Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown is in charge of local arrangements.

Memorials may be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beardstown or the Beardstown High School TAC Club.
