Melvin Lindsey, 77, of Industry died at 4:45 a.m. on Jan. 15, 1975, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. He had been in poor health for 15 years.
He was born Oct. 14, 1897 near Astoria, the son of Nathan and Sarah Smith Lindsey.
He was a farmer and resided most of his life near Industry. He was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are a brother, Otis of Jacksonville, and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and five brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Clugston Funeral Home in Industry with Rev. E. L. Dunavin officiating. Burial was in Vance Cemetery.
