Mrs. Helen Linley Dies At The Home Of Her Daughter

Mrs. Helen F. Linley died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Lee J. Moore in this city Monday at 1:30, aged 78 years, 10 months and 1 day.

Mrs. Linley was born in Astoria, October 28, 1848 and was the daughter of William and Melvina Carter. She was united in marriage to Dr. J. R. Linley in February, 1867, who preceded her in death.

The following children survive: Mrs. Ida M. Moore, Astoria, W. T. Linley, Los Angeles, Calif., Irva Linley, Globe, Ariz., and Mrs. Lucy Ashley of Kewanee. She is also survived by two brothers, William Carter of Ipava and J. L. Carter, who resides in Kansas.

Mrs. Linley was a member of the M. E. church, Rebekah and Pythian Sisters lodges.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, at the home of Mrs. Lee J. Moore, conducted by Rev. W. R. Seitzinger. Interment in Astoria cemetery.
