Marian KnottMarian L. Knott, 93, of Rushville died at 8:58 a.m. Nov. 9, 2014, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

She was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Carthage, a daughter of Charles and Maude Leanerd. She married Floyd “Wally” Knott on Jan. 5, 1941. He preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1976.

She also was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Christopher Thompson and Bailey Quinn; and one step great-great-grandson, James Doyle; one brother, Lawrence Leanerd; and one sister, Rowenna Street.

Surviving are three daughters, Phyllis (and Dean) Zeisler and Peggy (and George) Quinn, both of Rushville and Shirley Richardson of Gravois Mill, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and five step great-great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and operated a home cleaning service.

She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Rushville and a former member of Adelaide Rebekah’s Lodge.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery.
