She was born July 13, 1985, in Rushville, a daughter of Larry J. (and Karen Lung) Phillips. She married Josh Koch in Rushville on Feb. 20, 2010. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Dylan Michael and Gerry Tyler; one daughter, Samantha Ann; her parents, Karen and Randy Carey and Larry J. Phillips, all of Rushville; one grandmother, Nancy Lung of Mount Sterling; one grandfather, John Carey of Rushville; four brothers, Joe (and Cathy) Phillips of Rushville, Shaun (and Kayla) Phillips of Mount Sterling, Adam (and fiancé Toni Atteberry) Phillips of Mason City and Chad Phillips of Astoria; two sisters, Joni (and fiancé Eric Wagner) Carey of Mount Sterling and Jaris Carey (and Ben) Beuhler of Navarre, Fla.; and one stepbrother, Jared (and Gayle) Heller of Table Grove.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy Lung, Thelma Carey and Marjorie Phillips.
She attended Rushville First Southern Baptist Church.
She graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 2003 and was enrolled in the nursing program at Spoon River College.
Services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
