Wilson Clark Keen, 67, of Lewistown died at 3:20 p.m. Oct. 4, 2006, at his home.

He was born April 6, 1939, in Nashville, Tenn., a son of Arthur and Ruby Mathis Keen. He married Opal Ann Hyde Chears on Aug. 22, 1975, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are six sons, John T. Chears, Wayne A. Chears, Steven C. Keen and Thomas E. Highley, all of Pekin, Charles R. Chears of Bryant and Anthony E. Chears of Smithfield, N.C.; two daughters, Onya M. Keen of Cuba and Jamie L. Bartholomew of Peoria; one brother, James P. Mitchell of Mora; one sister, Margie Sympson of Clinton; and 28 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one grandchild.

He served in the United States Navy from 1958-1962.

He retired from Witco Chemical in Mapleton after 19-1/2 years.

Graveside services were held Monday at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria with Rev. Sue Roat officiating. Henry-Lange Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
