Shirley Kelley

Shirley I. Kelley, 72, of Havana died at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

She was born July 18, 1932, in Havana, a daughter of Calvin H. and Mable Taylor Pierson. She married Frank Kelley on May 29, 1948, in Petersburg. He died Sept. 9, 1985.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, and one grandson.

Surviving are two daughters, Ruth (and Alan) O'Bryant of Lewistown and Ronda Kelley of Havana; three brothers, Wilber (and Anna) Pierson and Larry "Buck" (and Ruth) Pierson, both of Havana, and Donald Lippert of Mason City; four sisters, Loretta Hurt of Havana, Colleen (and Frank) Otto of Lewistown, Sharon (and Wayne) Richardson of Beardstown and Dixie Watkins of Astoria; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker.

She was of the Christian faith and had attended Lewistown Church of the Nazarene.

Services were held Friday at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. Stan Rapp officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
