AUDREY M. (IUNGHUHN) JACOBUS

Audrey Jacobus

Audrey M. Jacobus, 88, of Cuba died at 5:47 p.m. Aug. 22, 2013, at Red Oak Estates in Canton.

She was born May 16, 1925, in Brazil, Ind., a daughter of Harry H. and Nellie Hannum Iunghuhn. She married H. Eugene Jacobus on March 30, 1945, in Los Angeles, Calif. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1979.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are one son, Chet E. (and Denise) Jacobus of East Peoria; two daughters, Terri L. (and Robert) Vollmar and Sandra K. (and Richard) Gordon, both of Canton; two brothers, H. Dean (and Darlene) Iunghuhn of Princeton, Ind., and John L. (and Martha) Iunghuhn of Terre Haute, Ind.; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.

She was a 60-year member of Cuba United Methodist Church where she also had taught Sunday School. She was a past president of Chapter CB PEO and was a past matron Order of Eastern Star.

Services were held Monday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Reverend Marc Brown officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
