Daniel G. Jacobs, 48, of Metamora died at 6:05 p.m. July 14, 2010, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.
He was born April 12, 1962, in Pittsburg, Pa., a son of Raymond and Evelyn Glintzer Jacobs. He married Geni Saurbaugh on Aug. 7, 1993, near Vermont. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David Jacobs and Matthew Jacobs, both at home; his mother of Pittsburg; and one brother, Raymon (and Kathy) Jacobs of Matrona, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Jacobs; and one brother, David Jacobs.
He was a computer programmer at Caterpillar in Morton for over 15 years.
He was a member of West Prairie Presbyterian Church.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Jim Clayton officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to an education fund for his children.
