Evelyn M. Jones, 87, of Ipava, died at 4:46 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 1997, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born March 21, 1910, near Ipava, the daughter of Charles and Dollie Breeden Danner. She married Bernard M. Jones on March 9, 1933, at Mt. Sterling. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1981. Also preceding her in death were four brothers.
Surviving are two sons, Norman Jones and Marlyn Jones, both of Ipava; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Ipava Christian Church and the Ipava American Legion Auxiliary.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. John M. Simmons officiating. There will be no visitation. Private burial of the cremains will be at the Ipava Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Ipava Rescue Squad.
