Kevin Scott Haines, 57, of Vermont died at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 13, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 7, 1956, in Edenton, N.C., a son of Frederick B. and Barbara Anne Thwaite Haines.
Surviving are one brother, Stephen Michael Haines of Asuncion, Paraguay; and two nieces, Rachel Brook Haines and Rebecca Charlotte Haines.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He graduated from Western Illinois University.
Services were held Monday at Vermont Christian Church with Rev. David Vandeman officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
