She was born May 1, 1918, in South Bend, Ind., a daughter of Fred and Coila Lawson Gunter. She married Albert Chambers. He preceded her in death. She later married Chester Huntington in Palmyra, Mo. He died Aug. 27, 1981.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Huntington; two sisters; and two brothers.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Gunter of Indiana and Chester Huntington of Chicago; seven daughters, Emma Jane (and Kenny) Edwards of Beardstown, Harriet Vilardo of Danville, Iowa, Mary (and Tim) Hackett of Cuba, Linda Shifflett of Pekin, and Lois Chambers, Patsy Chambers and Dixie Chambers, all of Illinois; one sister, Jane Clark of South Bend, Ind.; one brother, Carl Gunter of Corona, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Astoria Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
