James Henderson

James B. Henderson, 86, of Rushville, died at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 1998, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 11, 1911, in Bader, a son of Robert L. and Minnie M. Malcomson Henderson. He married Irene Miller on Jan. 5, 1930, in Mt. Sterling. She died Aug. 28, 1996. One brother and one sister also preceded him in death.

Surviving are one son, Robert of Fullerton, Calif.; one sister, Helen Nodulski of Turlock, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He worked at Bartlow Packing Co. in the 1930s. He later moved to California and worked at Helms Bakery in Culver City, Calif., and was food service manager for the State of California in Norwald, Calif., retiring in 1977. He returned to Rushville in 1978, where he was a member of Schuyler Senior Center.

Services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Bonser officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
