VIOLA D. (ROBISON) HOOPER

Viola Hooper

Viola D. Hooper, 99, of the Care Center of Abingdon, formerly of Cuba, died at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 1997, at the center.

She was born Oct. 19, 1897, in Vermont, a daughter of Ernest and Irene Vanfossen Robison. She married Lawrence D. Hooper on March 16, 1936, in Cuba. He died June 21, 1967. One daughter, Faye Yocum, two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two grandsons, Randy Yocum of Avon and Gay Yocum of DeLong; one granddaughter, Sharon Kilpatrick of Maquon; two great-granddaughters; and two great-great-granddaughters.

She formerly attended Cuba Christian Church.

Graveside services were held this morning at Cuba Cemetery with Rev. Ken Bloyd officiating.

Memorials may be made to the activity fund at the Care Center of Abingdon.

Henry Memorial Home in Cuba was in charge of arrangements.
