Ezra W. Goodell, 78, of Table Grove died at 6:30 a.m. Monday, May 11, 1998, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born March 23, 1920, in Fulton County, the son of Web and Ines Howe Goodell. He married Frances Cheeseman on May 18, 1945, in Bushnell. She died Oct. 23, 1991.
Surviving are two sons, George of Ipava and Ray of Vermont; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lila Cooper of Marietta, Millie Barker of Ellisville and Lavona Walker of Cuba.
A construction worker, he was a member of Local #231 of Pekin and Central Laborers Union in Jacksonville. He was also a farmer and raised cattle.
Services were held this morning at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Mary Jo Williams officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Table Grove Rescue Squad or to the donor’s choice.
