SHERRI JEAN (BUBB) GAY

Sherri Jean Gay, 45, of Bethany, Okla., died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, in Oklahoma City, Okla., following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Nov. 5, 1952, in Biloxi, Miss., a daughter of Harvey S. and Doris E. Ruth Bubb Jr. She married Randy Gay. He survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Stacey Fuleki of Bethany, and Jennifer Baker and Brandy Gay, both at home; four grandchildren; two brothers, Danny Bubb and Tommy Bubb, both of Yukon, Okla.; two sisters, Joyce Moydell of Newalla, Okla., and Ruth Madden of Bethany, Okla.; her mother-in-law, Illa Faye Gay of Alex, Okla.; one brother-in-law, Marlon Gay of Duncan, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Linda Ray of Childress, Texas, and Brenda Holt of Gothenburg, Neb.; two grandfathers, Harvey Bubb Sr. of Astoria and Charles Ruth of Rushville; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death was one brother, Stephen Brian Bubb.

She was a graduate of Putnam City West High School. She touched many lives through her work with children. She managed and operated Sherri’s Kids Daycare with her husband.

Services were held Saturday at the Southern Baptist Church of Alex. Burial was in Ireton/Laflin Creek Cemetery. Sevier Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
