NOLA (CLEMENS) GRISSOM

Mrs. Edward Grissom Passed Away Friday

Mrs. Nola Grissom, wife of Edward Grissom, died Friday morning at her home in the east part of town following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Grissom was born September 12, 1873 in Bluff City, the daughter of Joshua and Suzanne (Shawgo) Clemens, and married Edward Grissom in April, 1889, who together with two sons, Donald and Jay, both of Astoria, survive.

She in days of better health was an attendant at the United Brethren church. Her presence in the home shall be sadly missed and memory of her grow more precious with the passing years.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the U. B. church, conducted by Rev. C. P. Ellis. Interment was made in the Woodland cemetery.
