Jesse Danner Former Astorian Dies At Littleton

Jessie B. Danner, a former Astorian, died at his home at Littleton, Saturday following an illness of several months, aged 71 years, 7 months and 13 days.

The deceased was the son of David and Christiana Danner and was born in York County, Penn. Early in life he, with his parents, moved to Astoria, where he grew to manhood. Immediately after his marriage to Miss Eliza Jane Baumgartner on Oct. 4, 1875, he moved to Littleton. To them twelve children were born, who with an aged mother, survive to mourn his death. The children are: Mrs. Sarah Stambaugh, Seneca, S. D., Mrs. Mable Tomlinson, Mrs. Ada Riley, Mrs. Bessie McConahay, Charles and Ray of Rushville, Mrs. Nellie Kimble and Roy of Industry, Guy of Macomb, Ross of Brooklyn, Jess and Lena at home. He also leaves four brothers and two sisters and 28 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 o’clock at Baptist church conducted by Rev. A. L. Sellers of Astoria. Burial at Littleton cemetery.
