H. Ronald Chenoweth

H. Ronald Chenoweth, 84, of Macomb died at 10:50 p.m. June 18, 2019, at The Lamoine Retirement Living Center in Macomb.

He was born Dec. 1, 1934, in Table Grove, a son of Herman A. and Eunice F. Sandidge Chenoweth. He married Dorothy Chambers on Oct. 5, 1958. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Darrell (and Kathy) Chenoweth of Macomb, Rod (and Tonia) Chenoweth of Gravois Mills, Mo., and Gene (and Sharon) Chenoweth of Colchester; one brother, Jim (and Ruth) Chenoweth of Bushnell; two sisters, Barbara Ault of Fiatt and Francis (and Bill) Allison of Moline; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Norma Brown, Doris Hunter, Carol Bainter and Roberta Barnes; and one brother, George Chenoweth.

He lived most of his life in Macomb. He was co-owner of Chenoweth Implement in Macomb until it closed and later in life he worked for Yetter Manufacturing. He served on the YMCA Board and was president of the Macomb Speedway. He was a 3/4 midget race-car owner and Dean Chipman was the driver.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial service was held Monday at Macomb Assembly of God Church on Robin Road with Pastor Carl Redding officiating. Burial was at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
