Mildred I. Crum, 87, of Rushville, more recently of Walker Nursing Home in Virginia, died at 11:45 a.m. May 7, 2017, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.Mildred I. She was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Kenosha, Wis., a daughter of Thomas Edward and Pearl Esther Crabtree White. She married H. Don Crum on June 23, 1947, in Rockford. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1999.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Danny Crum; two brothers, Tommy White and Nyland White; and two sisters, Mary Jane White and Dorothy Brown.
Surviving are one son, Stacey James of Chatham; one daughter, Deanna Clapp of Concordia, Kan.; one brother, Benjamin (and Karen) White of Grafton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and attended Rushville Free Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Reverend Rob Kirkham officiating. Burial will follow in the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
