MAXINE R. (PILCHER) CHURCHILL

Maxine Churchill

Maxine R. Churchill, 93, of Cuba died at 7:02 a.m. Oct. 4, 2008, at Graham Hospital extended care.

She was born Oct. 12, 1914, in rural Fiatt, a daughter of Samuel and Anna Willock Pilcher. She married Warner Churchill on Feb. 23, 1938, in St. Louis, Mo. He died Aug. 28, 1987.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Curtis (and Cathy) Churchill and Norman Churchill, both of Cuba; one daughter, Sharon (and Charles) Lafary of Cuba; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Cuba United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women’s Club. She also was a volunteer at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Paul Newhall officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home. Burial will be in Fiatt Cemetery.
