She was born Jan. 7, 1913, in Lewistown, a daughter of Edward and Mary Miles Zempel. She married Ralph Clifford on Sept. 12, 1936, in Lewistown. He died Dec. 12, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by four siblings.
Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth Dinschel and Mary (and Wayne) Friedrich, both of Morton and Helen (and George) Bowes of Gainesville, Fla.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Lewistown High School in 1930 and from University of Illinois in 1934 with a degree in accounting. She had memberships in the honorary societies of Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Chi Theta and Alpha Lambda Delta.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lewistown and Presbyterian Quilting Club Society.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Danie deBeer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home.
