Alice E. Colver, 90, of Galesburg, died at 4:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at St. Mary Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 15, 1909, in Kewanee, a daughter of Karl E. and Hannah Youngren Anderson. She married Willard McKee Colver on Jan. 16, 1936, in Vermont. He died Dec. 23, 1986. One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Dr. Gerald of Roland, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. DeLloyd (Nancy) Nelson of Alexis; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was an organist in the Galesburg area for several years. She also was a clerk for Kreskes and O.T. Johnson department stores in Galesburg. She was a member of the Accordion Band at Fleisher’s Music in Galesburg.
Services were held Tuesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Knox County Humane Society.
