VeteranHomer D. Butler Of Lewistown Dies

Homer D. Butler, 63, of Lewistown, died at 7:24 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1981, at St. Francis Hospital, Peoria.

Born June 15, 1920, in Lewistown Township, a son of Ralph and Tessie FitzHenry Butler, he married Phyllis L. Ashby Oct. 4, 1947, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents of Lewistown; two sons, Marc of Lewistown and John of London Mills; two daughters, Mrs. Pamela Ford of Austin, Texas, and Miss Maryellen Butler of Lewistown; four sisters, Mrs. Lois Yocum of Rockford, Mrs. Irma Jouffray of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Betty Payne of Canton and Mrs. Ann Camp of Lewistown; and five grandchildren.

A farmer, he was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Lewistown United Methodist Church, Lewistown Masonic Lodge 104 AF&AM, Peoria Consistory and the Fulton County Farm Bureau.

He was formerly a member of the Lewistown Grade School Board and director of Fulton Service Board.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lewistown United Methodist Church with Rev. Walter Pruett officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
