He was born Dec. 21, 1938, in Canton, a son of Gordon and Mildred Willcoxen Anderson. He first married Barbara Staley. He later married Maureen Hornung in 1988 in Davenport, Iowa.
Surviving are one son, Michael D. (and Melsie) Anderson of Galesburg; stepmother, Margaret Anderson of Canton; two half brothers, Robert (and Peg) Anderson of Kingston Mines and James (and Laurie) Anderson of Chillicothe; and one half sister, Elizabeth (and Mark) Ferrell of Broken Arrow, Okla.
He was preceded in death by one son, Keith; and one daughter, Julie.
He was a retired truck driver.
He was of Christian faith.
A celebration of life service was held Saturday at Northwood's Community Church in Galesburg with Reverend Scott Cramer officiating. Graveside services were held Saturday at Salem Willcoxen Cemetery in rural Lewistown with Reverend Scott Cramer officiating.
