2021-22 Astoria School Supply List

KINDERGARTEN

Four glue sticks; three boxes 24-pack Crayola crayons (no jumbo crayons); 10 number two pencils (no recycled pencils, yellow only); four boxes/bags of crackers, cereal, pretzels, etc.; two boxes Kleenex; four Expo dry erase markers (thin type, any color, Expo brand); two yellow highlighters; two Mr. Clean magic erasers; one container Clorox wipes; one box colored pencils; one box Crayola Classic color washable markers; one pkg. (100 count) colored index cards; one pair tennis shoes, no ties; girls: Ziploc gallon-size bags; boys: Ziploc sandwich bags. Clearly mark child’s name on the following supplies: one zipper pencil pouch (clear front and holes on side); one pair scissors (metal, blunt tip, Fiskars brand); four heavy-type pocket folders; one Mead Primary Journal creative story tablet (each page has a place to draw on top and lines below to write (can be purchased at Wal-Mart or Amazon); one change of clothes in a large Ziploc bag including socks and underwear.

Wish list (not mandatory): Play-dough; shaving cream; inside recess games; AA batteries; white card stock; Expo brand, thin dry erase markers (any color); heavy-duty velcro.

FIRST GRADE

Label the following: one pair scissors; one two-inch binder with clear-view pockets on front and back; two black and white composition notebooks; four large glue sticks; two 24-pack Crayola crayons; two 10-pack Crayola Classic color markers; two pink erasers; one large zippered pencil pouch; one pkg. pencils; one pair PE shoes; one pkg. black dry erase markers.

Do not label the following: one magic eraser; two boxes Kleenex.

SECOND GRADE

Four boxes 24 crayons; one pair scissors; one non-plastic cloth binder pouch; two highlighters, yellow or pink; four dry erase markers; one pair PE shoes; 12 glue sticks; three boxes Kleenex; four pink erasers; one canister of Clorox disinfecting wipes; 24 number two lead pencils to share; markers. Clearly mark your child’s name on all supplies.

THIRD GRADE

Two packages pencils; one box 24 crayons; two glue sticks; one box washable markers; one pair scissors; one box (24) colored pencils; two large erasers; two notebooks; four two-pocket sturdy folders, not plastic; one pair PE shoes; one box Kleenex; one pencil pouch; two highlighters; one bottle Germ-X; one box plastic bags; one pkg. magic erasers.

FOURTH GRADE

Four folders; one three-ring binder; two notebooks; one ruler; one pkg. pencils (no mechanical pencils); four pink erasers; three boxes tissues; one set of headphones; one pencil bag (no pencil boxes); one pkg. colored pencils; three packages loose-leaf paper; four dry erase markers; one pair scissors; three glue sticks; one pair PE shoes; one container Clorox or Lysol wipes.

FIFTH GRADE

Two pencil boxes, no pencil pouches; two heavy cardboard-type folders, no plastic; 24 pencils, more later in the year (no mechanical pencils); one eraser or pencil cap erasers; two glue sticks; two boxes Kleenex; one box colored pencils; one pkg. loose-leaf wide-ruled paper; one pair scissors (preferably Fiskars for big kids); one single-subject, wide-ruled spiral notebook, without the perforated pages; PE shoes, must have; two 3x3 post-it notepads; one pkg. 3x5 lined note cards; one set ear buds.
Choose one of the following: one box Ziploc slider quart-size bags; one box Ziploc snack-size bags; one pkg. clear party drink cups.

JUNIOR HIGH

Pencils; 24 colored pencils; red pen; pencil bag; highlighters, four different colors; two glue sticks; three packages loose-leaf paper; four one-inch binders (you will share one with Reading and Language; four spiral-bound notebooks (no composition books); three boxes Kleenex; one container Clorox wipes; PE shoes and clothes, small gym bag (duffels do not fit into lockers; no spray, glass or aerosol containers (deodorant or cologne); one box Ziploc gallon-size bags; three packages note cards, white with lines.
